I came across your website and saw this:「知床Fantasia」 將於 2015年 2月 5日至 3月12日舉行!
I can only read English though heheh so I don’t really understand… May I check if you happen to know the dates for Shiretoko Fantasia in 2015? I’m planning to be in Shiretoko on 5/Feb/15.
Also, do you recommend travelling to Shiretoko during winter? I read the buses are very infrequent and may be delayed due to weather conditions.

You go the right time. Shiretoko Fantasia will be held on Feb 5 to Mar 12, 2015. A lot of fun there in winter. Experience “walk on the drifting ice"! Go to the page 知床（ https://hokkaidojp183.com/shiretoko/ ）to watch the video. Better take the JR(railway) to the station 知床斜里, then a local bus to Utoro where Shiretoko Fantasia held. 旭山動物園的企鵝巡遊夏天是沒有的，只可以在館內看。而不同公司店舖的減價開始和結束時間會有不同，如果你有特定東西要買，最好先去看，可以到步在你落腳地逛一逛先，有個概念，如不是自駕購物在近尾日子就不用拿太多東西。
